Nationwide Challenge, Year 3



QUALIFICATION / REGISTRATION

1. Challengers (participants) must be male ages 16 to 19 years from the area of the on-going regional challenge.

2. Registration starts at 10:00am on the event date. Registration may be done prior to the event date by text or e-mail. (Challengers who registered by text or e-mail are requested to report at not less that 1 hour before the start of the competition.

3. He must submit the following upon registration

- a photocopy of any proof of age and school (for student participant)
- a photocopy of an proof of age and residence (for out-of-school youth participant)

4. Age requirement must be his age on/or before 31 July 2008.

REGIONAL ELIMINATION

1. The elimination round will be within the standard 60 seconds.

2. There shall be 25 ACCEL basketballs that the challengers has to shoot within the given time period. There are 5 ACCEL basketballs in each rack; there are 5 racks. The first 4 ACCEL basketballs in each rack are equivalent to 1 point while the last ACCEL basketball (colored or money ball) is equivalent to 2 points.

3. As innovation, the racks will not be placed on the side of the challengers; racks will be placed in front of the challengers.

4. The table officials will declare the official score of the challengers right after the shooting.

5. Referees will declare if the shot is counted or not.

6. All challengers are required to come in basketball attire.

7. The participants will use only the basketballs provided by the organizers.

8. In case of tie, challenger will use the standard 60 seconds in a one round shootout.

9. The top 10 challengers will compete in the regional championship round.


REGIONAL FINALS

1. The championship round shall be in 2 different rounds; the first round shall be within the standard 60 seconds and the second round shall within the 3-minute period.

2. There shall be 25 ACCEL basketballs that the challengers has to shoot within the given time period. There are 5 ACCEL basketballs in each rack; there are 5 racks. The first 4 ACCEL basketballs in each rack are equivalent to 1 point while the last ACCEL basketball (colored or money ball) is equivalent to 2 points.

7. Finalists’ scores in the first round will be added to his score in the second round.

8. In case of tie, challenger will use the standard 60 seconds in a one round shootout to determine the winner.

9. The top five regional finalists will compete in the national challenge (final).

1.1. 10 finalists –ACCEL 3pt Shoot-out Shirt

1.2. P1,000,000 (P1M) for a perfect score

1.3. P5,000 for perfect money ball

2. Regional Finals

2.1. Regional Champion – P5,000 cash prize, P2,500 worth of ACCEL products, ACCEL medal

2.2. Regional Runner-up – P3,000 cash prize, P1,500 worth of ACCEL products

2.3. 3rd to 5th Placers – ACCEL Shirt

2.4. P1,000,000 (P1M) for a perfect score in the 1 minute round

2.5. P100,000 for a perfect score in the 3 minute round

2.6. P5,000 for a perfect money ball in the 1 minute round

2.7. P1,000 worth of ACCEL products for a perfect money ball in the 3 minute round
